Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming
shipments of felt rolls and other materials to ensure quality and accuracy
of orders.
- Organize and store raw
materials in designated areas while maintaining proper labeling and
inventory tracking.
- Manage inventory by
maintaining accurate stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and
reporting discrepancies.
- Supply materials to
the production team as required, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimizing
downtime.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, to transport heavy
materials safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse to ensure safety and efficiency in daily
operations.
- Collaborate with the production team to anticipate material needs and prevent
shortages.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse
Associate, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting
preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials (up to
50 lbs) regularly.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling
equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory
management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking – ERP and
Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
