Job
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage customer-facing
cybersecurity projects, from initial engagement through to delivery and
post-implementation support.
- Provide cybersecurity leadership, advising
executive teams on risk management, governance, and the security implications
of business decisions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for
customers, ensuring their security needs are understood and addressed
effectively.
- Identify cybersecurity risks and
vulnerabilities, design mitigation strategies, and create policies and
procedures for security controls and incident response
- Provide expert advice on cybersecurity
strategy, governance, and risk management to clients.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments,
vulnerability management, and risk evaluations to identify potential threats
and security gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
implement security best practices and mitigate emerging cybersecurity risks.
- Lead the development, implementation, and
continuous improvement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
- Evaluate third-party vendor security risks
and ensure compliance with security standards and contractual obligations.
- Stay up to date with the latest
cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to provide informed advice and
solutions.
- Lead incident response efforts, including
the investigation and remediation of security breaches and data compromises.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication
skills, with the ability to prepare various forms of reports, policies,
procedures, and plans
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to
think critically under pressure.
- Exceptional project management skills and
the ability to lead security initiatives across various teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage
multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with some of the
following frameworks: NIST (CSF, 800-171, 800-53), CIS, CMMC, NCUA, PCI-DSS,
HIPAA security rule, NYS DFS 23NYCRR500
- Assist in the creation of proposals,
statements of work (SOWs), and other customer-facing documentation related to
cybersecurity services.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity
trends, threats, and technologies, ensuring that customer recommendations are
aligned with industry’s best practices.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of
customer reports, including risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and
security posture assessments.
- Identify opportunities for additional
security services or solutions that can benefit the customer, supporting the
expansion of customer relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized
area (cybersecurity, computer science, information technology),
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- 2 years of customer facing role and
management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one relevant certification, may
include: Associate of (ISC)2 for CISSP, SANS Global Information Assurance
Certification Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), CompTIA Security+,
Check Point Certified Security Principles Associate (CCSPA), Cisco Certified
Network Associate (CCSPA).
