ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • On-site monitor and manage progress of design team, construction team, and third party consultants and vendors throughout the duration of the project
  • Prepare RFPs and manage procurement of necessary contractors and consultants
  • Assemble reliable project budgets and monitor adherence by all parties to the agreed budgets regarding the above-described responsibilities with regular updates.
  • Assemble and monitor adherence to the agreed project schedule and advise of recovery measures as may be required.
  • Management of the design & construction budgets including value engineering process
  • Assist in the coordination of venue technologies with construction manager, owner, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Attend technology based and general construction meetings and drive critical action items and decisions to rapid closure. Document meetings including action items.
  • Document and measure project timelines, outstanding items, and chart areas of concern for the project.
  • Manage to specifications and work with the architect, construction manager, and project team to bring issues to light and work to address them in timely fashion.
  • Effectively identify, communicate, and minimize project risks as they arise with the appropriate parties and work with all parties to resolve.
  • Uncover all technology integration points by working with local authorities having jurisdiction, food and beverage and retail contractors, building/venue operations.
  • Review physical technology installations to verify that they are completed according to the build documents and document any discrepancies to be resolved or corrected.
  • Track all venue specific technology projects including but not limited to Wireless, POS, DAS, Low Voltage Cabling, Fiber/Ethernet/Copper networks, Data Center, Telecom, Scoreboards and Display Boards, IPTV, Broadcast cabling and camera positions.
  • Work through commissioning of individual building systems and oversee integration between systems to ensure that project specs from individual contractors/subs are met and properly turned over to building ownership.
  • Review and advise ownership on proposed change orders and RFI’s
  • Provide clear directions to internal teams setting proper expectations and due dates for deliverables.
  • Perform field walks with technology partners to track progress and gauge timeline for all work streams
  • Report on quality of the work and manage resolution of all non-compliance items.
  • Management of invoices and payment applications with accounting
  • Assist in obtaining all permits, inspections and approvals.
  • Assist in maintaining current project files
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and reporting to owner
  • Assist turnover of the project to the client, and closeout of all assigned project contracts and accounts.
  • Management of and assisting in training and mentoring of junior staff.
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience as project engineer, project manager or construction administration representative for a major design, construction or program management firm.
  • 10+ year of technology management experience, preferably in the sports and entertainment industry, including technology certifications and experience in with broadcast production infrastructure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, quickly establishing credibility with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with technology including MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint), Procore, Bluebeam, REVIT, BIM and MS Project or Primavera P6. Please highlight any other programs/applications that you have proficiency in.
  • Foundational knowledge on network and enterprise technology systems
  • Ability to multi-task, and produce all deliverables in a timely manner.
  • This position may require heavy travel or relocation to project site
  • Applicant must have the ability to work effectively on the road and in fast-paced jobsite environments.
  • Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours due to the accelerated nature of the projects.
