Responsibilities

Operate various types of trucks including roll-off, flatbed, dump truck, and refrigerated trailers for the delivery of goods.
Plan and execute efficient route driving to ensure timely deliveries.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of freight and delivery confirmations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
Familiarity with operating forklifts for loading and unloading freight.
Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and logistics management.
Ability to handle various types of freight safely and efficiently.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Attention to detail in maintaining records and conducting vehicle inspections.
