Duties
- Operate a box truck or similar vehicle for deliveries,
ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items
are secured properly during transit.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries, adapting as
necessary to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including
delivery times and any issues encountered during transport.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and
management regarding delivery schedules and inventory needs.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including
organizing inventory and operating forklifts when required.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
checks to ensure safe operation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a
similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices and route
navigation is beneficial.
- Experience in moving or heavy lifting is an asset, as
the role requires physical stamina.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and forklift
operation is a plus.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential for this position.
