Essential Functions:
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements and reports.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports.
- Assisting with the development and evaluation of budgets and preparing budget
reports.
- Supporting the formulation and implementation of control systems within the
organization.
- Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, identifying
discrepancies, and reconciling accounts.
- Supporting the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger.
- Preparing and managing accounts using various software programs.
- Preparing and assisting with audits.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Track and record fixed asset transactions.
- Oversees 1099 preparation and remittance.
- Contributes to various projects/business case analysis as needed.
- Adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Ensures an efficient and accurate work flow in the department.
Other Functions:
- Reviews company email on at least a daily basis in order to receive and address
notifications and/or other pertinent information in a timely manner.
- Any other duties as requested or assigned by the senior financial management as
well as UBMD practice presidents.
- May be required to travel to other location(s) dependent on company need.
- Work hours may fluctuate depending on company needs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s
degree in accounting or finance required
- Experience: Minimum
of five (5) years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel. Experience with Great Plains accounting applications is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Strong attention-to-detail skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills essential. Must be able to manage accounting staff as well as departmental workflow.
