Accounts Payable Specialist

Duties:
- Post all payables to accounting system and ensure the batch totals match
- Accuracy when posting payable to general ledger account numbers
- Responsible for printing and mailing all checks
- Obtain W-9’s prior to issuing payments for all
vendors and maintain records
- Review system information and assist with generating
all necessary 1099s at year end based on Federal guidance
- Providing general office duties support when
required, including maintaining check stock supply, filing and document storage
- Month end closing for payables
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any
discrepancies
- Support AR department when needed
Required Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates a positive, professional attitude with
excellent customer service skills and the ability to assist others in a timely,
professional matter
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years AP experience
- Any accounting experience helpful
- Reliable transportation
