ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists the Director with the software applications, documents, and financial information as it relates to the Purchasing Department.
  • Responsible for Time and Attendance approvals of direct reports.
  • New vendor set up and credit application process.
  • Annual vendor performance review.
  • Negotiate pricing, solicit RFQ’s and initiates contracts according to Business Office Procedures.
  • Assists Director in conducting policy and procedure training to new managers as it relates to the Business Office.
  • Cell phone management to include obtaining approvals, distribution, training and plan and usage review.
  • Assignment of tasks to direct reports.
  • Order processing.
  • Acts in supervisory capacity in the event the Director or AVP is not available to make critical decisions.
  • Vendor database management.
  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma and 5 years full time purchasing and supervisory experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the supervision and professional development of the Purchasing Personnel.
