Retail - Store Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with all types of sales including, but
not limited to uniforms, firearms, and ammunition in person, over the
phone and via email
- Complete required sales paperwork and registration
documents for firearms sales
- Accountability in all retail transactions including
cash, credit card, and on-account purchases
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service in person
and over the phone
- Research information on products or orders for
customers and provide communication to assist them in making the best
product choice
- Assist with inventory placement, organization, and
counting
- Continually develop comprehensive product knowledge on
existing and new product lines
- Attend organizational or training meetings
- Report problems or issues to the Store Manager or
Assistant Manager
- Merchandise and organize products on the sales floor
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized retail showroom
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY & OPERATIONAL
AUTHORITY
- Reports directly to the Store Manager or Assistant
Store Manager
- Given business requirements, and in the absence of a
Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, may have operational control of
store for short periods of time
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient computer skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Ability to adhere to Company safety policies and
procedures
- Must be able to present a clean, professional image
- Must be able to keep work environment clean,
presentable, and safe
- Responsible for entering in daily time keeping
requirements
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Must have a record of stability with employment history
- Must have an 'owners not renters' mentality
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience
- Sales experience includes handling or selling of
firearms or tactical/protective law enforcement or emergency gear
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
