ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Pick
up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores,
wholesale accounts, and vendors.
- Check
with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control
administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk
before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
- Verify
that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
- Verify
parts on customer invoice match delivery.
- Check
payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
- Keep
an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Obtain recipient’s
signature on each delivery entry.
- Unload
truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
- Handle
basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking
oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
- Advise
parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
- Help
maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
- Ask
customers at each stop if they have anything to return including any core
inventory.
- Pull
parts for delivery routes and load trucks/vans for deliveries.
- Assist
with shipping/receiving as needed.
- Work
in a team environment.
- Maintain
professional appearance.
- Must
be able to drive across county and state lines
- Adhere
to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to
reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma
or general education degree (GED)
· One to three months
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience preferred.

Basic computer
knowledge required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively with customers or other employees
