Intern: PRT - Park Ranger Technician

Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism is accepting applications for the Spring 2025 (January 13- April 25, 2025) Internships. The Park Ranger Technician position will support the Park Rangers in providing customer service, park management, programming, conservation and general maintenance work.

- Customer service.
- Assists with facilitating of various programs, camps and activities.
- Assists with daily facility operations of concessions, campground, rentals, and store.
- Organize and manage recreation equipment and supplies.
- Perform general custodial, and grounds maintenance tasks; set -up and breakdown of various recreation equipment, tables, chairs, pop-up tents, barricades and fencing.
- Actively participate in programs, activities and event with diverse groups.
- Assists with logistical operations for various special events and activities.
- Processes point of sale transactions and reconciles collected funds.
- May prepare and sell food items.
- Assist Park Rangers with visitor management and enforcement of park rules and regulations.
