Duties and
Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience in shop floor control,
manufacturing processes and production flow.
- Production scheduling and shop floor direction for
custom engineered and standard products.
- Procurement/Purchasing and supplier development for
components of custom engineered and standard products.
- Work closely with Engineering to resolve assembly and
component part issues.
- Inventory and Cost Control. Implementation of min/max
or safety stock stocking process.
- Determine improvements to the production process and
working with Engineering to implement.
- Shipping and Receiving.
- Performs analysis of customer ordering patterns.
Determines if candidate for replenishment pull/level loaded shipments.
- Work with all departments to assess and discuss needed
changes.
- Expedite materials indirectly through interdepartmental
communication.
- Coordinate customer orders into existing plans for
material procurement and production schedules. Coordinates and expedites
engineering on special product requirements and problems that might arise.
- Coordinate material obsolescence: designs phase in and
phase out of components.
- Proactively address causes of material shortage issues,
which threaten the ability to maintain production schedules.
- Help develop and maintain the positive atmosphere.
- Report to management periodically progress in regard to
inventory status (levels and turns), and opportunities for improvement.
- Completes other work as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education or experience preferred in a technical
discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in shop floor control and
manufacturing processes required.
- Experience in production and manufacturing processes
and techniques.
- MRP and inventory management skills.
- Good negotiation, communication, and organizational
skills
- Quality systems understanding, specifically ISO
9001:2015. Auditor experience a plus.
- Health and safety standards and compliance.
- Problem solver with demonstrated technical knowledge in
machining and blueprint reading.
- Solid computer skills and proficient with MS Office
Products.
- Strong professional references in the manufacturing sector that can provide details on the candidates.
