Assistant Director for Ticket Sales
The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Director for Ticket Sales to join our athletics or events management team. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize ticket revenue for university athletic events, concerts, and other special events. The role requires a strong sales background, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for enhancing the fan and attendee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive ticket sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals for all university events.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor the ticket sales staff, fostering a high-performing team environment and encouraging professional development.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, including season ticket holders, group sales clients, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing and communications teams to create effective promotional campaigns that drive ticket sales and increase brand awareness.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and produce reports to guide strategic decisions and optimize sales efforts.
- Budget Oversight: Assist in managing the ticket sales budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies and a strong return on investment.
- Event Support: Coordinate with event operations and planning teams to ensure efficient ticketing processes and a seamless experience for event attendees.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in community outreach and networking events to promote the university's events and foster a strong connection with the local community.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sports management, or a related field required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ticket sales, with a preference for experience in a collegiate athletics or event management setting.
- Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency with ticketing systems and CRM platforms.
- Attitude: Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
