Job Overview:
Cox Automotive is seeking a dedicated and responsible Driver I to join our Vehicle Operations team. As a Driver I, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles to and from various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws.
- Transport vehicles between Cox locations and to designated drop-off points.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movement, including logs of miles driven and fuel usage.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or other team members.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving or delivery role is preferred.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicle types, including cars, trucks, and vans.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work at a specified Cox location (No remote option).
Working Conditions:
- This role is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Work is typically performed during the day shift, with no travel required.
