Task to include:
  • Performs nursing assessments of adults, as well as children, with mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorder who are receiving medication management services in an outpatient setting.
  • Perform nursing duties to include, nut not limited to, preparation for appointments with providers, administration of injectable medications, completion of primary care screenings, (height, weight and BMI) and follow up if recommended, assess and recording vital signs.
  • Provide medication education, crisis intervention and resource information.
  • Complete tardive dyskinesia screenings, as well as fall risk assessments
  • Coordinate care with both internal (therapists, Case Managers) and external providers, which may include but not limited to coordination of care with primary care providers (PCP)
  • Complete urine drug screens (UDS), administer breathalyzer testing, as well as blood glucose monitoring as ordered by providers.
  • Performs Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) assessments such as Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS)
  • Complete laboratory requisition forms when laboratory tests are ordered.
  • Maintains records in compliance with quality assurance and licensure standards, program policies and procedures, state and federal regulations.standards and HIPPA
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, directing and supervising professional nursing services in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws.
  • Assist Nursing Supervisor in the monthly supervision of assigned nursing staff
  • Completes required and assigned daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Gathers and maintains information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities for area of responsibility.
  • Assists Program Supervisor in the supervision of nursing staff including selecting or recommending selection, training, assignment, and evaluation of work, counseling, disciplining, and terminating or recommending termination.
  • Assists in the management of contract personnel, including requests for purchase, contracts, billing issues, and services.
  • Organize and supervise psychiatric clinic; assesses and coordinates clinical needs of caseloads and ensures completion of the necessary paperwork to secure insurance authorization and payment.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and enforcement of program policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the maintenance and updating of all training materials and any other required written materials.
  • Authorizes services in accordance with payer regulations.
  • Attends or completes required annual compliance training.
  • Reports any deviations from documentation, billing, and other agency standards made by the unit to the supervisor and the corporate compliance officer.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
