Customer Service Clerk I

POLICE SUPPORT

The Customer Service Clerk I position will be tasked with pulling and preparing records for requests while maintaining compliance with strict time restrictions in accordance with each request.

Other Customer Service Clerk I responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains files, records and accounts for area of responsibility
  • Maintains knowledge base of current laws and policies
  • Attends in-service training and technical/professional classes, seminars or conferences to improve skills
  • Interacts with other departments, customers, and the public by telephone, in-person or fax/email
  • provides information, directs individuals to appropriate personnel
  • takes and relays messages
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Conducts administrative functions such as recording statistical information, compiling reports, performing specialized projects, coordinating with other agencies or the public and maintaining logs and forms
  • Fingerprinting, processing applications and permits, processing local background checks
Performs other duties as assigned
