Planning Administrator - Community Development

The City of Chesapeake Planning Department is seeking an enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for the development, administration, operation, implementation, and management of the City’s housing and community development program. This position supervises and manages the Community Development division which includes managing the City’s annual Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement funds, special HUD allocations, and any other housing and community development federal, state, or local funds in full compliance with applicable and related laws, regulations, policies, and program guidelines. Community outreach, collaboration with community partners, preparing annual reports, and serving on housing and community development committees. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills, in support of Chesapeake's CARES standards, are all preferred qualifications.
