Assistant Warehouse Manager Job Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, to ensure efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff, including regular safety drills and training.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize accuracy in stock levels.
- Supervise and schedule warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and managing payroll-related activities.
- Liaise with vendors and transportation companies to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Analyze warehouse operations and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to increase productivity.
- Oversee the implementation of new warehouse technology or systems, including training staff on its use and ensuring a smooth transition.
