Role and
Responsibilities
- Receives and/or ships materials
to include packaging, labeling and staging
- Verifies quantities of incoming
and outgoing materials
- Loads and unloads material
- Gathers parts/product/materials
for issue or distribution to shipping or other cross-functional
departments
- Completes necessary paperwork
accurately
- Performs housekeeping duties;
such as cleaning, sweeping and organizing materials to maintain a safe
working environment
- Assists with the transaction of
materials in shop floor system
- Responsible for meeting ISO 9001
and/or other quality system requirements in their department
- May conduct visual mechanical
inspection to identify cosmetic issues
- May use isopropyl alcohol or
similar substances to clean products
- May perform some data entry and
filing
- May perform other duties as
assigned
Education, Training
and Skills
- High school diploma or
equivalent preferred
- At least 2 years of experience
in material handling preferred
- Able to utilize manual moving
equipment including; pallet jacks, carts, etc.
- Basic familiarity with computer
use required
- Familiarity with continuous
improvement methods preferred
- Must be able to work in a
fast-paced team environment with close supervision
- Intermediate English abilities
required
- Ability to follow documented
procedures, standards and policies
- Excellent time-management
skills
Working Conditions and
Essential Abilities & Functions
- Warehouse environment (may not
be climate controlled)
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Stand/walk for 8 hours
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and crouching
