What we are looking for:

Maldonado-Burkett is seeking an experienced Project Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience for the Austin, Texas area.

How you’ll make an impact at M-B as a Project Accountant

  • Create and Maintain Project in Ajera (Deltek);
  • Maintain project-related records, including contracts and assisting management in creating contracts, certificate of insurances, and sub-consultant documentation;
  • Create and provide all project-related billings to customers;
  • Perform Accounts Receivable to collect payments;
  • Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management;
  • Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required;
  • Other duties as directed by Management.

What it takes to be successful as a Project Accountant

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; experience may be used in lieu of education;
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, with in the A/E industry a plus;
  • Knowledge of standard contract language and terminology;
  • Strong Excel and Word skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team;
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities a must;
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Conditions of Employment

  • Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout his/her employment.
