Location: Public Utilities M&O Water Service
If so, the Department of Public Utilities M&O Water Service is looking for a dynamic person like yourself to lead and train crews in the installation, repair, relocation, renewal and abandonment of water service lines and meters. As a Crew Supervisor, you will ensure that our customers receive reliable water service and excellent customer service by assigning and scheduling work, training of team members, accurate record keeping and other administrative tasks.
As a Crew Supervisor, you should be experienced in the use of heavy equipment including backhoes, air powered boring machines, dump trucks, crash cushion trucks and hydraulic boring machines. In addition, work on water services will include the use of tap machines, shoring equipment, air compressors, generators and various hand and power tools.
In your role as a Crew Supervisor, you will be responsible for making sure that material resources are available and accounted for in support of work, to include maintaining accurate inventory records, approval of timecards, completion of work orders, truck lots and other reports in support of the division.
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
