Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparing and completing
warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Safely load and unload
materials and product from trucks, using the appropriate methods
- Stage material appropriately to
load the next day
- Receiving, Shipping and
Stocking products
- Assist with inventory and
report any discrepancies
- Keep a clean and safe working
environment and optimize space utilization
- Communicate and cooperate with
supervisors, coworkers, subcontractors and delivery drivers
Working Conditions
- Work between 8-10 hour shifts
- Flexible shifts available -
starting at 6:00 A.M., 6:30 A.M., or 7:00 AM
- Prolonged periods of standing,
bending, sitting, kneeling, lifting, pushing and pulling
- Will work in a warehouse with
an open air environment, occasionally exposed to heat, humidity, rain,
inclement weather and noise.
Requirements and
skills
- Familiarity with warehousing
practices and methods a plus
- Conduct duties in a manner that
promotes safety and complies with all OSHA standards
- Good organizational and time
management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
