Chesapeake Central Fleet is seeking an experienced technician to join our award winning team. The successful candidate will train and supervise 9-12 light vehicle and medium heavy equipment technicians at our Satellite Maintenace Facility.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervises others to include; training technicians, prioritizing and scheduling shop workload, and assigning and evaluating work.
- Oversees and performs inspections and initial diagnostics of vehicles and equipment.
- Oversees and performs inspections, set-up, marking and other preparation of new vehicles and equipment to be placed in service.
- Oversees and performs major repairs such as engine overhaul, transmission repair, and service and repair of complex sub-assemblies of vehicles and equipment.
- Oversees and performs vehicle modification such as installing or removing special equipment, LP fuel system installations, and other modifications to include fabrication of parts as required.
- Oversees and performs Virginia safety inspections.
- Oversees and performs shop or area maintenance such as general clean up around both the interior and exterior of the shop and property.
- Reviews and prepares documentation for maintenance activities such as repairs completed, parts used, repair cost, and other information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
