Warehouse/Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations of the yard, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials
  
• Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management using a warehouse management system
  
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials to production areas
  
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  
• Monitor equipment maintenance and repairs, including forklifts and other materials handling machinery
  
• Collaborate with the distribution center to optimize logistics and streamline operations
  
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and yard activities

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse supervision or management role
  
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including materials handling and inventory control
  
• Familiarity with e-commerce processes and order fulfillment
  
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage workflows
  
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of yard workers
  
• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery
  
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols in a warehouse environment
  
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
