Clinician II - Same Day Access

Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare serves the behavioral needs of Chesapeake residents. We are currently seeking a Floor Navigator to triage Walk-ins/phone calls from individuals seeking CIBH services through the Same Day Access clinic. Triage is done to determine the need for services and level of care and helps to improve timely and responsive access to services. Triage can include assessing the current needs of the individuals and what brought them to CIBH, assisting with getting them scheduled for registration and/or intake, assessing current safety concerns and referring to Emergency Services when appropriate and providing them with external resources if we do not provide a service that meets their needs. Although triage will be the primary duty of the position, you will also provide backup coverage for completing registrations when there is a need for it.

You will work in consultation with an integrated team of registration staff and licensed clinicians in the Same Day Access department, as well as the front desk staff and other departments within the agency when needed. You will primarily serve as a liaison between individuals in the lobby, the front desk and the Same Day Access team to ensure a smooth transition throughout the step-by-step process of the Same Day Access clinic. Provide resources, information and support to individuals and family members.

Maintains records for area of responsibility, which may include collecting data, such as population of individuals served, needs of individuals, barriers to engagement, wait times for Same Day Access clinic, etc. You will work with Internal Departments such as Outpatient, Psychiatric services and emergency services to identify supports needed for high-risk, high-need individuals to explore and mitigate barriers to engagements and additional resources.

Completes required annual compliance and participates actively and constructively in program and professional development.

Reads, comprehends, and adheres to the Corporate Compliance and HIPPA policies and procedures. Report any Violations, inconsistencies, or discrepancies about the Corporate Compliance policies and procedures or the HIPP policies and procedures to the supervisor or appropriate authority.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
