The Department of Public Utilities is searching for an Engineering Technician I to join a dedicated team of engineers in supporting the review of development projects. A successful Engineering Technician I candidate must be able to make sound engineering decisions based on contract documents, design standards, and local, state & federal laws; clearly communicate with developers, engineers and contractors to support the execution of private development projects; develop and maintain professional relationships with the public and various City departments.
As an Engineering Technician I, your typical duties would include researching, tracking and preparing projected related information and documentation, answering questions regarding Public Utilities policies and practices as they relate to development, assisting the general public with project related inquiries and conducting designated engineering studies.
