Key Areas of Responsibility

This position will report directly to the Head of Operations of Stallion Express. In this role, there will be a lot of cross-collaboration with the Operations team, Shippsy department, Customer Service team and Account Management team.

  • Be the main point of contact and facilitator to ensure smooth flow of packages through our facility.
  • Oversee a team of 10-15 associates.
  • Efficiently delegate tasks to ensure targets are met and that productivity levels are consistently meeting expectations.
  • Cross collaboration: Communicate with key individuals within the organization to ensure smooth operations and resolve clients’ inquiries (via phone, email, and internal communication tools).
  • Operational planning: Work closely with the Head of Operations to develop strong processes to promote accuracy and minimize the changes of mistakes. Ensure day-to-day operations adhere to all of Stallion and Shippsy's processes and protocols.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with teams to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues that may arise during the handling process
  • Assist team with daily operations on the floor and on the road (e.g. receiving, scanning, sorting, loading, picks, etc.) to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide coaching and valuable feedback to direct reports (warehouse team members, drivers, etc).
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, promote a safe working environment, and report any safety hazards or incidents
  • Perform administrative duties, and provide support where needed.
  • Promotes Stallion's culture and values within the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a leadership role (Logistics industry experience preferred).
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate a fast-paced business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trusting and supportive relationships with team members.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Have the ability to problem solve effectively.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and be physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Can multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Decisive, assertive, and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Must be proactive and be comfortable helping out in all aspects of the operations when necessary.
