Library Information Specialist
LIBRARIES ADMIN
The Chesapeake Public Library (CPL) is seeking a full-time, outgoing, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented person who has exemplary customer skills and a commitment to outstanding service. They will deliver Services from Major Hillard Library, a busy area library and will promote various services and resources to our local community.
Location: Major Hillard Library- Adult Service
Responsibilities include:
-Create and facilitate innovative high-quality programming for all age groups with a focus on the adult population; review current trends in the library field and adapt them to the local community.
-Build respectful, reciprocal relationships with staff, volunteers, and community organizations to deliver services and build awareness of library resources.
-Promote the use of library services and resources through informal and formal instruction, managing patron accounts, and performing readers advisory.
-Participate in library committees, work groups, and training.
-Be able and eligible to meet city requirements for driving city vehicles
