Summary

The Material Planning Manager will support the strategic initiatives of the Company by achieving on-time as required assigned materials in support of existing products and new product introductions and product enhancements.  Manage the transactional procurement cycle for assigned materials. Contribute to company profitability by managing the inventory of assigned materials on behalf of consolidated company requirements. Achieve customer satisfaction by ensuring that quality and availability of assigned materials meet and exceed internal and external requirements.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain material requirements plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of assigned materials while minimizing investment.
  • Perform supplier qualification and certification, performance evaluation, material plan preparation and execution, purchase order preparation.
  • Coordinate material availability to support new packages, products or processes. 
  • Maintain all packaging specifications for specified product types. 
  • Ensure compliance to all company requirements within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Recruit, develop and retain talented associates for future growth and diversification.
  • Leverage existing technology and recommend best value systems to competitively manage all direct materials as measured by improving inventory turnover year over year. 

Minimum Education and Education Required

Bachelors degree in areas of Business Administration or C.P.M. required. 

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • 5 years of related experience in sourcing, contract management, material planning or related. Experience working with packaging graphics and artwork preferred. 
  • Must have strong communication, analytical and math skills.
