Summary
We are actively recruiting for an Associate Systems Analyst to join our Salisbury, MD team. The Associate Systems Analyst - Logistics/Materials Management (MM) - is a team member responsible for working on technology projects, including translating business requirements into functional specification documents, system configuration and testing.
Rotating weekly remote on-call required, amongst all members of this team - starting Tuesday 5 pm through 4:59 pm the following Tuesday.
This is an onsite role at our Salisbury, MD Corporate Offices. Relocation Assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- The Associate Systems Analyst (Logistics/MM Team) is a team member responsible for working on technology projects, including translating business requirements into functional specification documents, system configuration and testing. Responsible for understanding business processes and supporting technical functionality for the areas of Logistics, Inventory/Material management, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL EDI), Transportation and other cross-functional areas as needed.
- Must be a high-energy and highly motivated self-starter. This is a fast-paced environment, so flexibility and willingness to multi-task is beneficial. This position will maintain key relationships with the respective business and/or customer base to provide quality service. The candidate should have the ability to self-manage and complete projects and tasks, on-time, with little supervision.
- The role is heavily geared towards production support activities, including maintaining system configuration, troubleshooting system issues to determine root cause, and suggesting/implementing changes to eliminate issue recurrence.
Minimum Education
BS Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or related discipline and/or experience in Warehouse Management and Inventory Management
Experience Requirements
0 – 2 + years of experience:
- Sharp problem solving and analytic skills (such as understanding and documenting complex business processes, to find errors and think logically)
- Willingness and desire to learn
- Basic Supply Chain knowledge
- Strong ability to intuitively process complicated business problems/scenarios and document (e.g. for as-is, cross-training or testing purposes)
- Ability to collaborate and define to-be processes and create and/or execute test scenarios to support overall quality assurance process
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements
- Ability to create process and training documents
Experience Preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing and warehouse business processes (including inventory management)
- Develop, analyze, prioritize and organize requirement specifications, data mapping diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
- Exposure to Third Party Logistics (3PL) processes, transactions & IDOC’s
- Exposure and/or familiarity with:
- Integration methods (EDI, AS2, API, etc.)
- Understanding relational databases
- HP Quality Center Management or other testing software
- SharePoint, OneDrive
- Understanding of Project Methodologies (Traditional/AGILE)
- Relational Databases
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Rotating weekly on-call, amongst all members of this team.
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
- Some travel to manufacturing plant sites to support strategic projects
When in a plant environment:
• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degree to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
