Intern: PRT - Park Ranger Technician

Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism is accepting applications for Spring Internships. The Park Ranger Technician position will support the Park Rangers in providing customer service, park management, programming, conservation and general maintenance work.

- Customer service.
- Assists with facilitating of various programs, camps and activities.
- Assists with daily facility operations of concessions, campground, rentals, and store.
- Organize and manage recreation equipment and supplies.
- Perform general custodial, and grounds maintenance tasks; set -up and breakdown of various recreation equipment, tables, chairs, pop-up tents, barricades and fencing.
- Actively participate in programs, activities and event with diverse groups.
- Assists with logistical operations for various special events and activities.
- Processes point of sale transactions and reconciles collected funds.
- May prepare and sell food items.
- Assist Park Rangers with visitor management and enforcement of park rules and regulations.
