Summary
Perdue Farms is hiring an Associate Business Analytics Developer. This position develops, enhances, and supports efforts related to business reporting and analytics. This role will develop PowerBI dashboards for FP&A and other business areas as assigned. Someone with intellectual curiosity who wakes up excited to strive for excellence and partner with leaders to align on leveraging BI for business outcomes. In addition, this role will be assigned responsibility for maintaining and managing content areas in the existing legacy Essbase data and reporting. Must have strong communications skills and ability to pay attention to detail. Accurate goal setting and status reporting are required. This individual is business-minded, customer-centric, team-oriented, self-motivated, a strategic thinker and results-driven.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze business performance across multiple functions and communicate insights through design, development, deployment, and support of sustainable, scalable dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
- With direction from team leader, partner with various stakeholders to transition existing Excel reports as well as review new business requirements for enterprise-wide suite of dashboards.
- Develop intuitive and logical dashboards which are easily consumed by analyst and business user; ensure clarity throughout the experience.
- Deliver medium to high complexity dashboards, while using simple methods and principles for creating the view; use design prototyping in Excel for establishing Minimum Viable Products.
- With direction from team leader, perform detailed data analysis through discovery, determining structure, content, and quality of data through examining source systems, data samples, dictionaries, and consulting co-workers.
- When necessary, enhance consumable data with data manipulation tasks using tools such as Dataiku into analytical datasets.
- Maintain and execute day to day activity of legacy Essbase data models/cubes as well as data administration for the Planning and Forecast process.
Minimum Education
BS degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or related discipline. MS degree is preferred
Experience Requirements
0 – 3 years related work experience. Some minor travel to manufacturing plant sites or to attend training.
- An understanding of various data warehousing concepts including enterprise data, data staging, data transformation, and multidimensionality.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite including creation of Excel spreadsheets and MS PowerPoint presentations.
- Understanding of building visualizations in PowerBI or similar tool.
- Analytics and reporting skills.
- Ability to document dashboard requirements and maintain analytics and data catalogs.
- Interest in building, implementing, supporting, and achieving user adoption of analytics and analytic applications.
- An understanding of finance and accounting processes.
- Good communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
- Ability to resolve conflict.
Experience Preferred
Experience in SAP ECC/HANA, Data modeling for analytics in a cloud environment. Experience in Snowflake and Dataiku or similar tools a plus.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
- When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degree to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
