Account Clerk / Reimbursement
COME JOIN OUR TEAM. Duties will include:
  • Verifies insurance coverage in order to process client information.
  • Electronically and manually processing client insurance eligibility and benefits for agency services. Processing of current ROIs for the purpose of client informed consent. Manipulation and interpretation of various electronic health record reports will also be required. Communication with both clients and clinical staff is essential.
  • The position will assist clients and clinical staff with ensuring needed referrals and authorizations are in place to facilitate approved client service billing. The position must utilize several electronic insurance vendor sites for retrieving client information. The position will review current clinical staff credentialing documents to facilitate accurate client scheduling.
  • Compute client financial responsibility for costs of services by compiling information on income and family size and verifying insurance benefit coverage. All client demographic and insurance information will be entered directly in the CIBH electronic health record.
  • Completion of the team and individual tasks related to client eligibility and payment responsibility. Data entry, filing, faxing, and document retrieval follow-up are some of the general tasks. Researching returned mail.
  • Provides insurance information to clients to answer inquiries and/or completing interviews. Calculates refunds and adjustments in order to prepare insurance forms.
  • The successful applicant should be a detailed multitasked individual, with the ability to work in a deadline-specific environment. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment and also able to work with individual projects simultaneously. Organizational skills are essential.
  • The applicant will be engaged in providing responsive customer service while providing client financial intakes, provider credentialing, and health insurance electronic billing, payment posting, and insurance claim research functions.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
