Responsibilities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
- To provide administrative and customer service support as to Accounting and Financial Management.
- Provide
quality, front desk customer service in person, over the phone, and by e-mail
for all Accounting and Payroll related issues and self-service web
applications. Assist with inquiries such as paper check questions, deadlines,
banking, and holds.
- Generate
reports and statements and assist customers with electronic services in
Workday, *DEFINE and other systems. Disburse payroll and accounting checks and
take lead on the daily check processing. Assist with post payment processing
issues including researching the status of checks, following up on returned ACH
deposits, following up with employees with returned funds.
- Coordinate
shared responsibilities with other team members including checking and
distributing mail, following-up on voicemails, copying/faxing/filing and
general administrative assistance to AFM staff.
- Provide
miscellaneous administrative support for Accounting and Financial management
including managing inventory iPads, fulfilling W-9 and credit letter requests,
and backing up team members on other duties as needed.
- Open
and close the office daily.
- Other
related functions as assigned.
Required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED. Experience as a receptionist, providing customer service, and providing clerical support.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Professional demeanor, dependable, and punctual. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience working in a financial or a higher education environment.
- Experience working with DEFINE or Workday.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent data entry skills. Bilingual.
