Summary
We are looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst who oversees the daily transactional review of compensation-related inquiries and requests. Recommends, develops, and implements an appropriate employee compensation structure. Configures job families and job tracks. Evaluates new job titles and conducts ongoing reclassification. Responds to salary surveys. Oversees special projects such as: upgrades to the HRMS job description database software, Market Pay salary survey software; enhancements to current compensation processes; and evaluates new compensation programs. Works in partnership with the rest of the Human Resources team to ensure that compensation and incentive programs are competitive in the market.
This position will be based in Salisbury, MD at our Corporate Headquarters. Relocation package is available for eligible candidates.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides client-facing compensation consulting & training to HR and Business leads on broad-based compensation including job documentation, job evaluation, analysis, and classification; market pricing; incentive plan design, implementation, and administration.
- Utilizes a variety of cloud-based systems, applications, and programs to assist with executing major business processes such as the merit review/award process, and plan administration for short and long-term incentives.
- Manages the company's participation in third party and government salary and total rewards surveys. Maintains and organizes salary survey data utilizing software tool. Identifies, develops, and distributes relevant reports to support business leaders in making decisions related to labor costs.
- Develops and deploys tools (dashboards, databases, macros, training, models, etc.) to facilitate compensation program administration.
- Maintains the job classification system in collaboration with HR Management Systems team (HRMS) to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements (FLSA, pay transparency, pay equity, etc.), salary administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Minimum Experience and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline is preferred.
3-5 years of Compensation experience with Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline or 7-9 years of Compensation experience required in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems
- Experience with SAP/Success Factors preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Knowledge of compensation principles and procedures.
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Human Resources\PHR or SHRM-CP or Human Resources\Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) are preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
