Key
Responsibilities
- Analyzes,
reconciles and enters freight payables invoices.
- Monitors
the status of PO dropships and works with shipping to ensure they are timely
posted.
- Identifies,
prepares and reconciles project invoices based on order shipping status.
- Enters,
reconciles and posts customer bank and credit card deposits in Oracle.
- Applies
customer payments to accounts receivable invoices.
- Processes
credit memos, debit memos and other invoice adjustments.
- Manages
the employee expense reporting process.
- Reconciles
the Amex bill with expense reports and enters employee expense payables.
- Enters
engineering and drafting labor from outside contractor invoices into Oracle
Projects.
- Verifies
and prints certain receivable invoices.
- Researches
and resolves invoice discrepancies and issues corrections in a timely manner.
- Generates
monthly tonnage information for internal financial reporting.
- Produces
reports and spreadsheets for management and for audits.
- Other
duties as assigned.
Qualifications
and requirements
- Associates
degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Two
years previous experience as an AR/AP/General Accounting Clerk, or in a similar
role.
- Basic
working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Intermediate
level in using Excel, Microsoft Office and internet-based software platforms.
- Experience
with Oracle EBS preferred and a BIG PLUS.
- Excellent
communication skills, both verbal and written. High degree of professionalism.
- Detail
oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Diligent, responsible and deadline driven.
