Responsibilities
- Follow
office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
- Maintain
files and records with effective filing systems
- Preparing
financial reports for clients; including review, printing and binding
- Bookkeeping
- Personal
tax preparation
- Sales
tax preparation
- 1099
preparation
- Posting
of cash receipts
- Bank
deposits
- Support
other team members with various administrative tasks (redirecting calls,
disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.)
- Assist
CPAs with a variety of administrative tasks
- Preparing
and sending outgoing mailings and packages
- Greet
and assist clients when they arrive at the office
- Handle
client complaints or issues
- Monitor
office supplies inventory and place orders
Skills
- Proven
experience as Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
- Knowledge
of sales tax, personal tax, and 1099 preparation a plus
- Knowledge
of basic bookkeeping principles and office management systems and procedures
helpful
- Outstanding
knowledge of MS Office and QuickBooks
- Working
knowledge of office equipment (e.g. optical scanner)
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized
with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong
attention to detail
- Reliable
- Exhibit
patience and professionalism
- College degree Associate’s/BS/BA in business administration or relevant field is a plus
