Duties
and Responsibilities
- Create
batches of invoices from email and mail and upload to Accounting software
- Process
and route invoices in accounting software after determining job number and
sales tax
- Export/Import
invoices on a weekly basis
- Print
checks and obtain signatures on accounts payable
- Distribute
and mail signed checks as required
- Prepares
resale certificates for jobsite contracts.
- Answer
vendor and project team inquiries
- Manage
vendor statement of accounts
- Prepare
resale certificates for accounts payable vendors
- Processes
company VISA credit card statements
- Expected
to sit upfront to cover receptionist 1 hour a week
- Performs
other duties to ensure successful services are delivered and customers are
satisfied.
- Maintains
excellent attendance and punctuality.
Education
and Training
- Associate
degree (AA) or Equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; High
School graduate or equivalent.
- Three
to five years of accounting clerk or related experience, preferably in the
construction industry.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Skilled
in 10-key by touch is a plus.
- Knowledge
of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability
to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes
information skillfully.
- Prioritizes
and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
- Demonstrates
accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies
feedback to improve performance.
- Meets
productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
- Adapts
to change in the work environment.
- Manages
competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected
events.
- Detailed oriented, good with basic math, and can work in a team environment.
