Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC has an immediate opening for a Soy Process Operator at our facility on Barnes Road in Chesapeake, Virginia.
The Soy Process Operator is responsible to operate grain handling and oilseed crush production equipment to meet the quality and production requirements to ensure on time supply of products to the customer.
This position is a full-time, benefit eligible position that requires 12-hour, rotational shifts.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Start up, operate, and shut down oilseed processing equipment
- Conduct quality checks
- Maintain daily records and logs as assigned by management
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on operation equipment
- Perform general labor, housekeeping, and sanitation responsibilities as required
- Perform all work within safety and environmental guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well s company policies
- Perform all other tasks as assigned
Minimum Education
- High School or GED, Further education is preferred.
- Strong reading, writing, math and analytical skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
