BUDGET
The City's Budget Department is looking for a positive, highly-motivated, and intellectually curious individual to enhance our existing team. This newly established position will serve as the administrator for the City's budget software and will have the opportunity to interact with individuals throughout the organization. Several members of the current Budget team have been collectively serving as the systems administrator, but with recent and desired future system enhancements as well as the desire to provide outstanding customer service to citywide users, the need for a full-time dedicated administrator position was identified. The selected candidate will start after July 1, 2023. The core responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Maintain user security and role management within the budget system
- Design and write reports
- Verify data integrity
- Train users in the systems modules to include capital, operating, and personnel budgeting to include the development of training materials
- Serve as the subject matter expert in the technical aspects of the software system
- Manage and update public facing transparency tools (operating and capital)
- Respond to inquiries from users regarding system functionality
- Maintain position control records in the City’s HRIS
- Manage and maintain the Department’s SharePoint Site
- Manage and Maintain the Department’s page on the City’s website
- Administrative tasks to include performing departmental payroll, managing supply inventories, records management, and accounts payable
- Explore and make recommendations regarding the expansion of system functionalities that are currently unutilized or underutilized.
