GIS Specialist - Public Utilities

Interested in protecting local utilities? The Public Utilities Department is seeking an energetic GIS Specialist to join the Engineering division. This position will support the use and leveraging of data collected from geospatial technologies to improve accuracy and response of the department.
Applicant must be experienced using ESRI ArcGIS 10.8.x and comprehend water and sewer system pathways. Using various ESRI products, ArcGIS 10.8.x, ArcGIS Pro and GPS to digitize, modify, and attribute water and sewer system assets using a variety of data sources.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Digitize and attribute water and sewer assets.
- Assist field personnel in the usage of field mapping and data collection
- Work with data collected in the field to QA/QC utility assets
- Review and interpret utility as-built drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Quality control spatial locations and facilities attributes adhering to defined requirements.
- Prepare exhibits and reports for internal and external projects
- Manage and update a geodatabase of GPS located utility assets
