Toll Collection Attendant - Part-time

Greet customers and make change in a fast-paced environment as a Part-time Toll Collection Attendant!
Job Summary: Performs intermediate semiskilled and clerical work collecting tolls and making change on an assigned tour of duty while ensuring a smooth and orderly flow of traffic.
Essential Job Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
• Operates vehicle classification console or touch screen, receipt printer, etc.
• Collects and records tolls in a safe, secure and expedient manner; collects and records unpaid tolls as required; record license plate number of motorists whose EZ pass does not register.
• Classify automobile type to determine fee.
• Allows for passage of emergency vehicles.
• Maintains a cash drawer and provides change to patrons; counts and verifies contents of cash drawer.
• Gives receipts to patrons upon request.
• Gives directions to patrons upon request to major locations in the local region as requested.
• Provides good customer service.
• Displays a courteous and polite demeanor in all dealings with the public.
• Cleans and maintains toll booth work area.
• Works relief, gate duty and/or ramp duties as assigned.
• Opens and closes lanes/moves cones and signs.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Maintaining regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
