Systems Analyst I / Continuous Quality Improvement

Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare (CIBH) is seeking a highly motivated, solution focused, and detail-oriented Systems Analyst I to work with our existing software and data platforms, including our electronic health record system, to aid in the development and maintenance of sound data collection, analytics, and exchange. CIBH is the local provider of mental health, substance use and intellectual disability services, including services of infants with developmental delays. CIBH is licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).
- The Systems Analyst I utilizes tools such as Yellowfin / MS Power business intelligence (BI), Adhoc query reports, Python, MS Access, and MS Excel to support agency leadership in data-driven decision making.
- The Systems Analyst I will collaboratively identify users’ requirements and design solutions to satisfy user needs.
- The incumbent will ensure the accuracy of data used for decision making and forecasting in order to maximize the effectiveness of CIBH programs.
- Explores new workflows to improve data quality, performance, and service delivery.
- Assists in the development and analysis of internal and state performance dashboards.
- Modifies applications in terms of IT systems that meet business requirements and goals.
- Adheres to departmental standards in program development and system design to maintain a structured environment.
- Attends and participates in state reporting meetings to stay abreast of new or changing mandated requirements
- The Systems Analyst I configures existing software to improve operations, consolidate programs, reduce complexity, or otherwise improve information/data systems.
- Develops, debugs, and installs new computer information applications as needed.
- Provides orientation or training for system users.
- Provides technical assistance to staff regarding process improvement, data capture, and reporting in a business intelligence platform.
- Performs administrative functions such as maintaining software inventories or other records, maintaining system documentation, preparing reports, and other related tasks.
- Attends meetings to exchange information; attends in-service training and technical or professional classes, seminars, or conferences to improve technical or professional skills; serves on committees and boards engaged in computer information systems activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
