Our PHOTOSafe Programs, Red Light Enforcement and Speed Zone Enforcement, use technology as a force multiplier for the uniformed police officer. These automated enforcement programs reduce the risks involved in the red-light running violation enforcement of large intersections and have been proven to change driver behavior in Chesapeake school zones to keep our children safe.

The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for collecting delinquent violations for the PHOTOSafe programs.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

· Researches and reviews available information such as credit reports and court records to determine collection procedures.

· Prepares and serves various documents such as rent liens, employer liens, and distresses.

· Interacts with offenders for these high-volume programs by phone, correspondence, or field visits in order to collect delinquent accounts.

· Responds and assists offenders with inquiries, concerns, or other information such as fee arrangements.

· Collects monies for delinquent PHOTOSafe accounts.

· Prepares and processes related mail and account payments.

· Performs related tasks as necessary such as preparing various reports.
